Cannot Live Without #1

It’s nearly the end of the month so here is my ‘Cannot live without’ January edition, which is dedicated to Liz Earle’s 3 Step skincare routine.
I often think how have I managed for so long without these products, personally I find them amazing as I have been unable to find  a product in the past that leaves my skin feeling deep cleaned yet nourished at the same time but also ridiculously soft.

The 3 step routine involves, cleansing, toning and moisturising.

1. Cleansing
This probably won’t be unfamiliar to most, but the first step is her famous Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser, for those of you that don’t know it’s a two part cleansing process. The first part is cleansing, I massage the cleanser onto a dry face, as it does not matter if you are wearing make-up as the cleanser even removes my most stubborn mascara. The second part is the ‘polish’, simply run the muslin soft very fine cotton) cloth under a warm tap then use it to wipe away the cleanser and residue, in the same way you would use a make-up wipe.

My skin is left so clean and fresh and feeling incredible.

2. Toning
The toner is very light and mild, and just like the cleanser it is suitable for all skin types. Due to its natural ingredients such as aloe vera, rose scented geranium and vitamin E, it does not only smell delicious but also brightens your skin. After apply the toner I notice a visible difference, my skin is more radiant and my complexion appears even.

3.  Moisturising
To finish the 3 step process I use her normal/combination Skin Repair Moisturiser. It hydrates my skin instantly, my skin feels so moist and nourished.  The first time I used it I was impressed with how quickly it dries into my skin, without leaving an oily trace. Another great thing about Liz Earle’s moisturisers is that they come in an assortment of skin types, so you really can find the perfect one for you.

I really cannot rave enough about this product, I’d advise anyone to try it. However it can bit a bit price, which currently I don’t mind paying as I am yet to find a product that achieves what this 3 step routine does. If you were to try one of her products I would highly recommend her Hot Cloth Cleanser, it really is fantastic and in my opinion worth every penny!
Enjoy your day

My Week In Food

Week 1

I’m not a health freak nor have i ever dieted but I do eat foods I enjoy and at the same time try and choose some healthy options. I genuinely don’t think you can beat a bowl of fresh fruit or crunchy veg but unfortunately I have an immense love of sweets, they really are my weakness. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to say no to a Blueberry BonBon.

Anyway I have not had a very interesting week food wise I’m afraid, but I thought some people may find it interesting to see what I eat day to day, so here you go Cee’s week in food.

2013 Nails

Nail Predictions 2013

2012 was a great year for nails, we literally saw everything; ombre, cracked effect, twists on the classic French manicure and were introduced to magnetic nails, an amazing technology that expanded the world of nail art. Colours were magnificent, we were treated to some spectacular bright bold colours, such as those in the NARS Thakoon collaboration but also some lovely neutral tones came on the scene, which were heavily featured in Essie’s Fall collection.

But what will 2013 hold?!

Colours

Emerald is going to be a big hit, after being named Pantone’s colour of the year, everyone will want their nails a shimmering green.

Nudes and Neutrals still remain a classic look, but will be rivaled by soft pastel yellows.

Mango Orange and Hot Pink, 2013 will also see the return of the bold and beautiful, with a new orange set to be a summer favourite.

Art Trends

Matte finishes, from full nails to tips; matte is set to be the number 1 trend this spring.

Colour Blocks, last year we had to half-moon this year it is a very simple yet effective look.

Caviar Nail, as exquisite as it sounds, luxury for nails.

Diagonal Tips, French Manicures must be old news as this year it seems any tip other than the traditional white is in.

And finally, predicted to be 2013’s hottest trend…Leather Nails. I’m not too sure what I think about this yet, currently Nails Inc have a set that comes with mini skulls and bones, but I am excited to see how people use it.

My 2012 Favourites

NARS - Trouville
Chanel - Nouvel Vague
TBN – Fluro Yellow
China Glaze – Snow Globe
Essie – Case Study
O.P.I – The Man with the Golden Gun (007 special edition)
NailsInc – Spring Mews

Quick and Easy; Exercise

It’s as simple as 5,4,3,2,1!

Exercise can be hard work; it can be difficult to find the motivation and even the time. However I have this little sheet pinned up on my wall and when I get the chance I like to do a simple 15 minute workout.

Sometimes in a morning or even before bed I do a quicker version and try to achieve as much as I can in the time I have got spare. I either choose the 5 minute workout or mix it up and do 1 exercise from each section.

Hope this is helpful!
Have a beautiful Monday

Want vs Need #1

Hello! I thought I’d try something new, so here is my very first want vs need post, enjoy!

Jack Wills Austerberry blazer
L’Occitane Cherry Blossom bath gel
Maybelline Babylips
Nike FreeRun trainers
Chloe Perfume
Absolut Miami
Bioderma Sensibio
Kurt Geiger Jessie heels

As always my want list could go on forever, but I’ve tried to keep it short. Firstly am I the only one who does not have Bioderma Sensibio? All the praise makes me desperately want to try it! Recently I spotted Maybelline Babylips, not only do they look adorable, but they are some crazy kind of lipbalm, lipstick mix, I really hope they smell as good as they look. Ok I am in love with these heels. They just scream spring at me. I don’t know if it’s the dull, dreary weather but I am very excited for the sun to return and these shoes look perfect for when it finally does. The trainers maybe slightly random, but I love Nike’s FreeRun range and these just make me want to go to the gym and show them off haha. Sadly my beloved Chloe is running dangerously low and with only about 3 squirts remaining, i am wishing my taste in perfume was less expensive. Not so long ago I foolishly smelt L’Occitane Cherry Blossom in the Liverpool shop and since I have been dreaming of cherry baths, it has a divine scent. Finally Absolut Miami, I adore Absolut…without sounding slightly alcoholic. The bottles are so vibrant and they have so many flavours such as mango, passion fruit and raspberry, they even have a London edition, who knew Vodka could be so fun. It may be on my lustful want list but my exams are driving me crazy so it may have to sneak into the need pile.

Rimmel Scandal Eyes mascara
Aussie Luscious Long shampoo
Joules Wellies
A Lamp
OralB Electric Toothbrush
Victoria Secret phone case
Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream
Nivea Pearl Double Effect

At the moment I need so many everyday essentials, I just cannot wear any deodorant other than Nivea Pearl as it leaves your underarms stupidly soft, and I am absolutely loving the Aussie rang as my hair is looking really healthy. There are also some really boring things I need like a new electric tooth brush and a desk lamp as my room is currently so dark! Unfortunately I left my wellies at home and as it keeps snowing at university I should probably invest in some, I just love the patterns by Joules. Finally I’m getting extremely low on my 8 hour cream and Scandal Eyes, which are two products I will happily replace time and time again.

Thanks for reading!

£260 vs £60 Make Up Bag

Recently I read an article about how the average woman's make up bag was worth £172! A survey of more than 2,000 customers of Escentual.com found that their make-up bag and contents were often the single most expensive item that many women took out the house with them.

This made me think, how much is my make up bag worth, and could it be cheaper? I emptied it out then compared it to my whole make up collection, suddenly the value went from almost £260 to just over £60. Could you be saving £200 on your make up?

How much is your make up bag worth? Did it surprise you?
